Assisted Suicide
Category: News and Politics
Some places now made it official and LEGAL to have assisted suicide.
Another "Christian Nation" thing.
I did not point this out in my previous post on topics. I believe in the separation of Church and state like the founders of this nation did. So my questions are not for those with these beliefs...just hypotheticals.
So, Christianity teaches that murder (committing suicide is murder, you are murdering yourself)...thou shalt not kill. So, why would Christians vote FOR, assisted suicides? Allowing other people to help people kill themselves?
According to Christianity, this is wrong and should not be supported.
My stance: I am FOR assisted suicide. We put animals "down" when they are ill or in pain to stop their suffering and I see no reason why we shouldn't be allowed to do the same for humans that are suffering. We can more closely relate to pain with other humans so wouldn't it be inhumane to make someone who doesn't want to suffer, to continue suffering?
With my belief in separation of church and state, and this nation being a humane nation, or so it SHOULD be, I believe that a person should have the right to assist in ending suffering for a fellow human. This should not have even had to be voted on.
It is constitutional, correct?
It should be legal in all states.
I am for assisted suicide.
