Some thoughts on Obama, 2008, Election
I have always been interested in a low level about politics. I followed elections since I was in school. Bush's first election against Gore, which was actually not an election considering the guy who lost the election became President. I followed Bush's re-election against a candidate who was simply not inspiring.
This election I followed from September 2007 after returning from Iraq until the day I voted. For the first time in 3 elections (that I was mature enough to understand what was going on...sure I followed Bill Clinton's re-election against Dole and Perot when I was little, school pushes for kids to learn about their country, but definitely not mature enough to create my own opinions and ideas about candidates)...I was naturally inspired by a candidate.
I am strong on opinions. I can have a laid back approach and humbleness about them at times, but sometimes I am far from humble. In 2000 I definitely leaned towards Bush, but not strongly.This election from start to finish I was inspired by Barack Obama. For those of you who know me personally you know that I am very critical of African American citizens, Criminals, and Social Parasites of all races. You know I wouldn't vote for a black candidate unless I felt he was far superior to that of his opponent. I am no bigot, but I am definitely critical. (If you read my blog on Rodney King, you understand)
I followed the polls daily. I saw Barack Obama with an insane lead in the polls and yet...I still didn't believe he would win. I just simply couldn't imagine. I am sure if he ran against Bush he would have lost. How could he defeat a guy who would cheat? A guy who would send American's to an Unjust War to DIE for their country without cause. I doubt he would have beat Bush. I am sure he would have had more votes, but I definitely think it would have been rigged like 2000.So, in shock really, I saw the most inspiring candidate in my short life, WIN.I've looked into campaigns and elections all the way back to Kennedy's election and nothing as inspiring as John F Kennedy and Robert Kennedy has really existed since...until 2007-2008. Barack Obama didn't win because of his experience. He won because of his Inspiration to MILLIONS..black and white. Asian, Hispanic...I just find it shocking that when you hear so many people that still look at black people in a different light. So many, myself included, are hesitant to give black people a fair look the first time. Takes a moment longer to open up and see them as equal. I guess, appearance matters when looking at someone different. You are hesitant to pass judgement on those who are different until you truly know them, but with those so similar, fellow white people, judgement is passed so quickly by appearance. At least for me.
This election might come off to black people as a victory for them, but it is definitely not. It is a victory for Americans. Statistically, Black people are still a minority, there are so many more white people than black people. If every white person voted for McCain and every black person for Obama, McCain would have won. So, I hope that African Americans SEE THAT. And see that They did not vote for Obama alone, WE, Americans, voted for Barack Obama. We truly did follow King's words "judged not by the color of their skin, but the contents of their character."Thanks to those who voted for Obama...It is about time someone inspired America again.

So, we see all of these reality shows with people that were once "bigger than life" or (attach other cliche saying about super famous people and the spotlight here)....and it shouts out DESPERATION. Reality TV Fanatics don't see it that way because they eat this shit up and love the drama.
Brett Michaels - Former member of Poison, ya know Great "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" - that song will never die and to reality tv lovers, he is still all that and a bag of chips, but to people that see beyond it and see a bigger picture. He is a pathetic man.This man once played great music and has stooped to an all time LOW to: 1) make money, 2) Get Laid, and 3) the biggest reason why Super-Egos with past fame make these shows - To get BACK into the Spotlight. It is amazing what a fiend will do to get back what they miss. It is like doing Heroin once...gotta do it again, and again and again...go thru detox, your clean, you get a wiff...a chance...you take it, and again and again ...which explains Rock of Love...he got his taste, "ah, I loved it ,....give me more!!!!!!!" - so comes Rock of Love 2...

Well, my wife reminded me of this horrific Nigger tonight. Before getting pissed off and calling me an evil bigot and racist, let me break down something.
I am not a racist and believe DEEPLY that there is a difference between a black (or if you prefer African-American) person and a Nigger.Same goes for white people and white trash, mexicans and spics and so on.
Now I continue: This Nigger, Rodney King, is on MTV or whatever for this Celebrity Rehab shit with Dr Love or whoever...I don't watch reality shit, but anyway. Why is Rodney King a "Celebrity"? Is it because a bunch of racist Cops beat his ass (which he deserved)?
I am very much BOYCOTTING the term "celebrity". It is over used. Famous and celebrity should be definitely separated.
Some DRUG ADDICTED Nigger should NOT be considered for any shows like this or anymore MONEY being GIVEN to him. Why?Let us review this man's criminal history and lifestyle. He was a drug addict THEN and he is a drug addict NOW. Why was he given money for an ass beating he deserved?
HOW MANY OF YOU would have beat a guys ass if (hypothetical) you were able to stop him after he drove through your neighborhood at speeds of over 100 MPH? Poor Sportsmanship in American Football - The Split-Second Timeout During a Field Goal Attempt Current mood: annoyed
This is probably the most unethical and GRIMY strategy ever done. Tonight the Arizona Cardinal's head coach called timeout a split second BEFORE the snap of a Dallas Cowboy field goal attempt with 4 seconds left in the game and his team up 24-21. The bad news for HIM is that his defense BLOCKED the field goal, but since he called timeout the play didn't count (they were on a timeout at that time...). So, they line up for the field goal attempt and this time the Cowboys field goal attempt at 52 yards was GOOD.
I am GLAD that this type of strategy got what was coming to it.
Had he NOT called timeout this game would have been OVER with his team winning 24-21. No overtime would have been needed.
Overtime: Dallas receives the ball to start overtime. The Arizona special teams blocks the punt and scores 6 to win on the blocked punt.
The Special Teams SAVES the Arizona Cardinals.
The point being, that dirty tactic NEARLY cost them the game. It definitely put them in a bad spot with Dallas getting the ball in overtime.
They need to put a rule against split second time outs. You either are calling a time out, or you are not. Calling it that close is ridiculous....AT LEAST they should have to review it. They should review from the booth EVERY split-second time out to ENSURE that the coach called the time out prior to the snap..because once that ball leaves the ground on a snap, the play is on...so they definitely should review it...if you are going to be grimy you should be ready to be penalized. Why I am voting for Barack Obama
1) Ross Perot is too old and not running. -- haha, yea totally different views I guess.
2) He is young, knowledgable, educated, and decisive.
3) He has what it takes to lead. He is INSPIRING. Do your research on him...how much dirt can you find that is legite? - Probably none.
4) His "Plans" (whether he follows through or not) are great. He has a lot of great things going...

On John McCain - 8 years ago, I wanted HIM to run as the Republican candidate. Sadly, the Horrific G.W.B won that nomination and election for Pres...sad . McCain was honorable and still is to most extent. Go read about him on Wikipedia. The way he was 25 years ago...he was the MAN. Someone bucked up to him calling him a carpet bagger and he put the guy in his place...letting him know his background as a Military family member (third Generation Servicemember) and that the place he lived the Longost was Hanoi (Vietnam...as a P.O.W.)
The Biggest reason why I am not voting for McCain is because he has changed his ways of politics...he used to be that "Maverick", but not anymore. He isn't who he was even 8 years ago. He can't admit he was wrong for siding with the Iraq War and only dwells on the success of the Surge, which I really don't call that a success...the way the war was going, it wasn't anything to do with the surge. We kicked ASS BEFORE THE SURGE...Support your troops, because they need it and deserve it....McCain Pre-Iraq would definitely be one of the biggest role models of our time...easily. He REFUSED special treatment and early release from Captivity. That is admirable. Refusing release until all others before him were released...withstanding 5 years as a POW for that....Honorable...
He is simply too fucking old to be our president in a time like this...8 years ago, I would have voted for him...He is the BEST Republican Candidate since Reagan...EASILY the best Candidate since Reagan. It is unfortunate that Bush had 8 years in office and ruined this country because it ruined McCain's chances of Sweeping this election....if Iraq War hadn't happened....McCain probably would win OVERWHELMINGLY regardless of his opponent...he probably still will win...his dirty tactics are working lol.....So, VOTE OBAMA...but don't bash on John S. McCain...he has done his part, but his part at this time, is not President.It is timing ya know....you have your "Window of Opportunity" and he missed his. That's how I feel. I want a president that could possibly hold 2 terms and be HEALTHY enough to lead us...he'd be 80 at his 2nd term...that is absolutely ridiculous...sorry John, you are too old...as I once was too young to vote...your are just too old to be voted for.

American Tragedies
I'll continue to edit this as I think of some tragic shit in America;big ones, ya know? Controversial. I get a lot of time to think at work as my work doesn't require much thinking at times.
1. The Kennedy Assassination - My opinion: The American Government assassinated its own president. Unbelievable! Not really.
2. The Entire Rodney King Event/Situation - My opinion: The man was a drug addicted CRIMINAL. He was high on PCP driving over 100 MPH and attacked a group of policemen and was then awarded money and freed of charges because they used "excessive" force. Who is to say what is excessive? Black people? White people? - No...but answer THIS...if you were outside your front door watching your kids play on the sidewalk and a car came flying by your home at 100+ MPH...would you be pissed? Would you want to beat the shit out of the driver? Would you want that person off the streets? - My guess is that you would answer YES...regardless of skin color...if Rodney King was white...he would have STILL got his ass beat...the difference is...he wouldn't have gotten money and freedom for it...The race card would have never been pulled. (Then again, I believe that those policemen WERE racist fucks, so even though he deserved his ass beating, they didn't belong on the force anyway probably...but whatever)
3. The Election and Re-Election of President George W. Bush - Another great tragedy. 8 years of horrific downfall for America. Do we need to touch on this really? 9-11 (Can we really rule out a conspiracy at this point? Maybe not)...Downfall on the Economy...4100+ Dead American soldiers...Osama Bin Laden still not captured...More troops in Iraq than Afghanistan...the list goes on and on...
4. The Assassination of Bobby Kennedy/Assassination of MLK - Yea, pretty tragic events, but they probably don't top the above 3. It is not like these are in order. They just come to mind.
5. September 11th, 2001 - If you don't know what happened on that date and you are American, go jump off the Sears Tower, please.
6. Operation Iraqi Freedom - Biggest waste of American Military Force in more than 25 years. Too many soldiers died for? What?
7. The Return of Vietnam War Vets From Their Tour of Duty - The American people have never been a sicker, more demented, fucked up, population ever before this war. Degrading soldiers, spitting on them, and shunning them for performing their duties.
The American people in the 60's and 70's is the biggest disgrace in Generations in the history of this country. These soldiers did not CHOOSE this war. They follow orders. They sign up OR are drafted to do what their country (well, government) has asked. That is a soldier's job: Do as ordered. Why degrade them? They are not in charge of that shit. And in a place of combat you do what is necessary to survive...so whatever they had to do to survive (whether it be killing women and children....) I wouldn't hold against them...MOST people would do ANYTHING to survive and make it back to THEIR families...if I had a choice between MY life...and a kid or woman I don't know...I'd choose MY life...sorry..I'd do what I had to at that point.
8. The Patriot Act - A piece of legislature that allows the government and law enforcement to pretty much DO AS THEY WANT...without needing permission or warrants to gain information (such as walk in your house and search your home...emails, telephone records, medical information and much more)...The IDEA was good...(The idea is to prevent terrorism), but with all good things...there is bad...like giving up your Civil liberties...Giving more power to the government than to the people...and much of the bill was considered UNCONSTITUTIONAL...it has been revised and is more suitable, yet the Patriot act breeches constitutional rights. - Russell Feingold (WI), in a Senate floor statement, claimed that the provision "falls short of meeting even basic constitutional standards of due process and fairness [as it] continues to allow the Attorney General to detain persons based on mere suspicion".
More tragedies to come as they come to mind...and I am sure more tragic shit will occur before Bush leaves office...I am sure he will fuck American's beyond recognition yet.

American Tragedies
I'll continue to edit this as I think of some tragic shit in America;big ones, ya know? Controversial. I get a lot of time to think at work as my work doesn't require much thinking at times.
1. The Kennedy Assassination - My opinion: The American Government assassinated its own president. Unbelievable! Not really.
2. The Entire Rodney King Event/Situation - My opinion: The man was a drug addicted CRIMINAL. He was high on PCP driving over 100 MPH and attacked a group of policemen and was then awarded money and freed of charges because they used "excessive" force. Who is to say what is excessive? Black people? White people? - No...but answer THIS...if you were outside your front door watching your kids play on the sidewalk and a car came flying by your home at 100+ MPH...would you be pissed? Would you want to beat the shit out of the driver? Would you want that person off the streets? - My guess is that you would answer YES...regardless of skin color...if Rodney King was white...he would have STILL got his ass beat...the difference is...he wouldn't have gotten money and freedom for it...The race card would have never been pulled. (Then again, I believe that those policemen WERE racist fucks, so even though he deserved his ass beating, they didn't belong on the force anyway probably...but whatever)
3. The Election and Re-Election of President George W. Bush - Another great tragedy. 8 years of horrific downfall for America. Do we need to touch on this really? 9-11 (Can we really rule out a conspiracy at this point? Maybe not)...Downfall on the Economy...4100+ Dead American soldiers...Osama Bin Laden still not captured...More troops in Iraq than Afghanistan...the list goes on and on...
4. The Assassination of Bobby Kennedy/Assassination of MLK - Yea, pretty tragic events, but they probably don't top the above 3. It is not like these are in order. They just come to mind.
5. September 11th, 2001 - If you don't know what happened on that date and you are American, go jump off the Sears Tower, please.
6. Operation Iraqi Freedom - Biggest waste of American Military Force in more than 25 years. Too many soldiers died for? What?
7. The Return of Vietnam War Vets From Their Tour of Duty - The American people have never been a sicker, more demented, fucked up, population ever before this war. Degrading soldiers, spitting on them, and shunning them for performing their duties.
